Some one in Minnesota is trying to give away an MX-6 V6.
I bought a white MX-6 once. That last sentence sums up my experience.

Same car as the Probe GT that I had. Sweet little V6 but I don’t know if you’d want to swap it in to anything.

I seriously considered one new.

The engine in that thing makes a killer swap for the Mx3 GS. Going from a 1.8l v6 to the 2.5 makes the MX3 an even bigger blast than it already is.

I was just thinking “this seems oddly familiar.”
Oddly cheap FWD sports compact? Hm.

My mx6 was a 4 banger. It was awful

I tested a V6 manual Probe back in the day and really liked it. I decided to wait for the Corrado SLC with the first VR6 and fell in love with that car. But then the Corrado’s motorized seatbelt grabbed me by the neck and stuffed my head into the dash, trapping me, and I swore that I would never buy a car with those infernal contraptions.

The little 2.5l V6 with its 7000 rpm redline was a really nice engine, but it didn’t make much power. It was nice to listen to as it revved, though.

Back then I was preoccupied with which 2 door car it would be easiest to get my wheelchair in and out of. At the time, I was significantly less agile than now, and my chairs were bulkier. Present day me would have bought one.

I went through a similar situation except the car cost $500. It cost me an additional $700 to get the lien card from the bank.

I’m brain dead and don’t feel great, but I’m pretty sure that car isn’t 25 years old yet...

For the most part it was worth it.

My MX-6 was 1800 bucks, but I spent almost 600 on repairs over the 3 months I drove it. So including registration, tax, and interest I paid on the loan I took to get it... I was probably 3 grand into a car that I put maybe 2000 miles on. Eventually it left me stranded for he fourth timeand I had it towed my house. Later decided it wasn’t worth fixing at which point Me and my buddies took a sledgehammer to it, and then had it taken away and scraped.
It was by far the worse financial decision I’ve ever made automotive or otherwise

Damn, sorry to hear that. I bought my car originally just as a parts car but when I saw it was nicer than the car I was intending to fix, I worked with the guy I bought it from to get the title. I put 20k miles on the car and my little sister is driving it right now but probably for not much longer. It needs struts really bad. So my dad’s solution was but new car that is also potentially broken but only has 94k miles on it instead of 220k.
